The wiring behind the cabinet looks like this.



Put on the stainless steel panel on the side cabinet.
I have to drill a 1.5 x 3 inch hole to let the electric panel out.

After putting on the molding, the new wall looks pretty good!

14. Floor done

After the 3rd night. The floor is finally done.

13. Floor - night 2

Anoter late night putting down the laminates.

12. Laying the floor

A day's work, a bit more than 1/3 of the room is laminated.

Ready for laying down the bamboo laminate tomorrow.

10. Painting

It's painted.
Two gallons of white paint.

9. Steve the plumber

Had Steve the plumber come in and put in new valves. He did a good job.
I patched it up with dry wall panels.

8. Wall Extension completed

After putting on a 1/4 inch dry wall panel, the wall is completed.

7. Building a new wall extension

Rebuilding a complete wall is not necessary, we just need an extension.
Without it, about 18 inch of the wall cabinet will stick out without support.

Building a new wall is pretty easy. Here's the frame.

6. Day 2: Knocking down wall cabinets

All the wall cabinets are knocked down.
Discovered that the wall behind the cabinets are all drywalls. We plan to erect a new, more sturdy drywall with a wood frame.

Remember the old wiring in the rangehood: black to black, yellow to white.

5. Day 1 - New Year's Day

A couple of hours work on new year's day to knock down all the moldings... and an accident happened while doing it.
